Artistas de todas las ramas del arte se dieron cita en un evento que marcó el inicio de una nueva etapa para la comunidad creativa en Nueva York.
Nueva York, NY – 15 de junio de 2025. Con el firme propósito de respaldar y fortalecer a la comunidad artística, la organización sin fines de lucro ARTES Group Foundation Inc realizó su evento inaugural el pasado sábado 14 de junio en la sede de la Dirección de Cultura Dominicana en el Exterior NY, ubicada en el corazón del Alto Manhattan.
El encuentro, titulado “Entendiendo los derechos de los artistas”, reunió a los artistas de diversas disciplinas —incluyendo artes visuales, música, literatura y teatro— interesados en conocer las herramientas legales fundamentales para proteger su obra y ejercer su oficio con mayor seguridad y autonomía.
La actividad contó con la destacada participación del abogado Ángel Feliciano, especialista en derechos de autor, propiedad intelectual y contratos en el ámbito artístico. Su ponencia ofreció una guía práctica sobre los derechos legales de los creadores, destacando aspectos clave como la protección de obras, la negociación de contratos y la defensa frente a posibles infracciones.
“Esta conferencia no es solo una charla informativa. Es el inicio de un movimiento. Un paso firme hacia un futuro donde los artistas no solo trabajen para sobrevivir, sino que tengan las condiciones para prosperar”, expresó un vocero de ARTES durante la jornada.

With a strong commitment to support and empower the artistic community, the nonprofit organization ARTES Group Foundation Inc. held its inaugural event on Saturday, June 14 at the headquarters of the Dominican Directorate of Culture Abroad NY, located in the heart of Upper Manhattan.
The gathering, titled “Understanding Artists’ Rights” brought together artists from various disciplines—including visual arts, music, literature, and theater—who were eager to learn about key legal tools to protect their work and practice their craft with greater security and autonomy.
The event featured a keynote presentation by attorney Angel Feliciano, an expert in copyright, intellectual property, and contracts in the arts.
