Fue un honor y grato placer para el personal de nuestra Oficina del Distrito unirse a la Universidad de Fordham y a nuestros valiosos socios de la comunidad para el 5to Festival Anual de Regreso a la Escuela de Fordham en la Comunidad (FIC), celebrado este viernes en Fordham Plaza.
Como representantes del Distrito 78 de la Asamblea, estamos orgullosos de estar junto a la Universidad de Fordham, las organizaciones locales, los líderes comunitarios y los residentes que continúan invirtiendo su tiempo y recursos en las familias de nuestro querido distrito.
El “Fordham in the Community Back-to-School Fest” reunió a miles de residentes y familias del Bronx para una tarde llena de recursos comunitarios esenciales, distribución de suministros escolares, actuaciones, actividades y oportunidades para conectarse con organizaciones dedicadas a servir a nuestros vecindarios.
Felicito a la Universidad de Fordham y a todas las organizaciones participantes por su compromiso de fortalecer nuestra comunidad y garantizar que nuestros niños y familias tengan los recursos y el apoyo que necesitan mientras nos preparamos para el nuevo año escolar.
El Distrito 78 de la Asamblea es más fuerte cuando trabajamos juntos, y espero seguir asociándome con la Universidad de Fordham y organizaciones de toda nuestra comunidad para servir a la gente del Bronx.

Message from Assembly Member George Álvarez (AD78)
It was a pleasure for my District Office staff to join Fordham University and our valued community partners for the 5th Annual Fordham in the Community (FIC) Back-to-School Fest, held this Friday at Fordham Plaza.
As representatives of the 78th Assembly District, we are proud to stand alongside Fordham University, local organizations, community leaders, and residents who continue to invest their time and resources in the families of our beloved district.
The Fordham in the Community Back-to-School Fest brought together thousands of Bronx residents and families for an afternoon filled with essential community resources, school-supply distribution, performances, activities, and opportunities to connect with organizations dedicated to serving our neighborhoods.
I commend Fordham University and all participating organizations for their commitment to strengthening our community and ensuring that our children and families have the resources and support they need as we prepare for the new school year.
The 78th Assembly District is stronger when we work together, and I look forward to continuing to partner with Fordham University and organizations throughout our community to serve the people of the Bronx.
